Too Much Materialism Draws Us Away From God

This is always a very sad downfall of many persons who came to spiritually guided and yet remain mediocre. It is because of their too much craving for material things, for honors, glories, praises and pleasures of this world; that may just come and go, and disappear from this world without leaving a shadow.

Many persons got o church, appearing devotedly pious, their lips speak of God and proclaim the word of God, and yet there hearts are far, far away from God himself because they are the persons classified as hypocrites and full of pretentions. They speak of justice, goodness, compassion, and forgiveness; but, how are they in their relations with there children, neighboors, there helper at home and to the people who are soburdinate to them? are they fair, just, full of pity and compassion? Perhaps, we start shaking our heads, relaizing the ample gap between the principle spoken of and the practice being done.

Let us not be hypocrites! Let us be our selves! we remain what we are before God. Let us humble ourselves before the mighty throne of God and ask forgiveness fornour enumerable misdeeds.
